Rural Services Sanliurfa Research Institute

Rural Services Sanliurfa Research Institute was established in Sanliurfa in 1976 on an area of 0.3 ha in city center. There are two research stations where the research and the other studies are being done. Koruklu Research Station in the Harran Plain has an area of 50 ha. The researches related irrigated agriculture and irrigation techniques are being done in this station.Tektek Soil and Water Conservation Research Station has an area of 2800 ha. The researches related soil and water conservation are being done in this station. The station region is consisted of hilly area and covered with wild variety of pistachio. In addition to researches, wild variety of pistachio is being transformed to culture form. There are 11 provinces in the working area of the institute. These are Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Siirt, Adiyaman, Sirnak, Batman, Elazig, Malatya and Kilis. |
